I got the 15 pack from Target recently and discovered that there are Japanese and English versions of the markers mixed into the same package. I could tell by the words written on the markers, as well as a colored stripe on the bottom of the English markers. The ones that are in English are Vermilion, Gold, Blue Green, Dark Blue, and Gray. All the other colors are in Japanese. I already know they work well, and I’ll continue to use the markers I bought, but I value authenticity, so next time I’ll buy them from online resources only.

Mildliner highlighters and brush pens are made in Japan and Mexic. Both have the exact same ink formulation and quality standards.

I love these! I originally requested my parents to get the fluorescent pack (It was the only pack at our local Walmart.) My friend realized how much I loved them and how I used them all the time in my sketchbook to color my drawings, and bought me the 15 pack for my birthday! I highly recommend.

i love them! used them for years! i love soft grey! and blue green and the cool color pack! i usually get mine from jetpens, tokyopenshop, or kinokuniya!

i wish they were refillable with replaceable tips and ink sort of like copic markers, I noticed i could unscrew it but i can’t refill it with anything suitable,..

These pens are super popular so I thought I would give them a try, but I wish I read the comments first. Half of the colors are simply too dark to ever serve a purpose while studying. They look so light and vibrant, but once you highlight anything with it, it’s so difficult to actually read your notes.

I absolutely love the fluorescent colors, and in hindsight I wish I had bought a few sets of the single pack of fluorescent markers instead (they are so great my first set ran out already!). The other colors are all really nice as well, and I if you are using these markers to draw throughout your notes and don’t mind dark colors, I would highly recommend giving these pens a try.

Overall I do like the quality of the pens and the double sided feature, but I wish I hadn’t spent so much on all the extra colors that weren’t necessary for my use while studying.

I think these highlighters are really nice. I use them in my bullet journal as I’m sure most other users do too. They are nice tones and I appreciate the double tips and that one of the tips is a chisel tip because I mostly use tombow brush pens and while I love them, I can’t deny that having access to a chisel tip is very nice for making lines that I plan to write over. It just looks cleaner and nicer. My only issue with these pens is that the colors on top are way misleading, I bought these thinking they’d be pastel colors but definitely are not (besides maybe the light yellow and the light blue and light pink). The rest of the colors are definitely not pastel, although they do live up to the ‘mild’ness implied in the title. They aren’t too super opaque so they work great if you’re gonna write over it. Please note they do bleed through the paper a bit.
Also to everyone complaining about the gray, I’m very very happy they included a gray because I like to shade in the backgrounds of a lot of my pages with a light gray or other light colors, and I also use gray for making separation lines and such that I don’t want to make so harsh with a fine liner. So thank you. Zebra, for giving us a gray, I promise you have at least one customer who appreciates it. 😛
Overall these markers are really nice and worth the money in my opinion, but I’m also a marker hoarder so take that with a grain of salt. Worth a shot if you, too, are a marker hoarder.

I love these highlighters. one down slide is that they don’t have the best smooth application. it will be lighter is some parts and if you apply too much pressure on another it will look weird and bleed through. other than that they are tremendous.

OMG ONE OF MY FAVORITE BUYS. I have been using Zebra products since birth. This has got to be one of my faves with the Sarasa Pens.

I believe these pens are badly named. Seriously. Look at the yellow. Even if you believe there are infinite realities, there are NONE where that is considered “mild”. The only thing mild is it’s performace. Actually, it’s downright trash. You better pray to the heavens that your carefully written notes are in pen, because 2/3 of all the colors are so dark they may as well be sharpie markers. I’ve heard some people say “But look at it’s unique double sided design!” I have something amazing for you! It’s called a uni propus. It’s cheaper and more effective. Some people say they have more colors. That’s true. The whole point of highlighters is to brighten your paper. The obvious color to choose it GRAY?! You thought of special colors and you chose the only one that would never stand out? What about mild red? Yeah, it’s as mild as Dwayne Johnson’s singing. I believe a red magic marker is less opaque than this horror. Overall, the only ones worth buying are the soft colors if you’re a Saudi Arabian billionare who can afford to spend $10 for 5 highlighters.
