Remember when I said it was good? yea no, it smudges everything. Sure it maybe good for drawing, but practicality wise it sucks.

      Hi Hannah,

We are sorry you were not satisfied with our Mildliners. We will let our product team know.

I’ve loved these pens for years now. They make notetaking so much more fun and the color range is amazing! As someone else said, I wish that there were refills sold so that I didn’t have to throw out an entire pen every time one goes dry, it feels a bit wasteful. I know zebra makes refills for other highlighters so I’d love to see some available for the mildliners even if it’s just some of the most popular colors/packs or something.

Hi! We’re glad you are enjoying the Mildliners! Thanks for your suggestion, we will pass it along to our production team!

Love them so much and bought them from Walmart but one was missing both ends to it.

Disappointed that my yellow highlighter was missing the tips on both end. After finally purchasing them having this happen makes me sad.

I love these a lot. Some of the colors are just beautiful and vibrant. I got the 15 pack a I really like the brighter colors to make titles and such and the lighter colors to highlight. Ive been loving them. I thought they were very overhyped at first but they are popular for a reason. I love them.

They are so great! I was just wondering if they were felt-tipped or not. I’ve looked everywhere and could not find whether they were felt-tipped.

    • Zebra Support

Hi Torrey. Thanks for the great feedback! Yes, the Mildliner have a double ended felt tip.

Bought the 15 pack from Walmart and one of them didn’t have ink. I love my milliners I’ve repurchased multiple time but this batch smears the ink and was very disappointed in the one that didn’t have ink

I got some of these at a student store and they are great! I wonder, do they always run out of ink fast? would it be worth getting one of the more official packs? The ones I got rand out of ink fast, but i’m assuming that’s because they’re not sold by the official sellers!

How come the most you sell is a 15 pack, when there are 25 packs out there with your same brand.

I love that grey is included in the color palette. I needed a grey and already had a pack of these and was able to buy one individually at Michael’s. They sometimes gush their ink which is super inconvenient when it happens on projects I’ve worked really hard on. And they do bleed a bit when the ink puddles too much. Otherwise I really love these markers and I believe I will own every color eventually!!

I bought one of these highlighters and the first time I used it it smeared all of my writing. It was brand new and when i used it all of the smearing made it look gray.

I got the 15 pack from Target recently and discovered that there are Japanese and English versions of the markers mixed into the same package. I could tell by the words written on the markers, as well as a colored stripe on the bottom of the English markers. The ones that are in English are Vermilion, Gold, Blue Green, Dark Blue, and Gray. All the other colors are in Japanese. I already know they work well, and I’ll continue to use the markers I bought, but I value authenticity, so next time I’ll buy them from online resources only.

Mildliner highlighters and brush pens are made in Japan and Mexic. Both have the exact same ink formulation and quality standards.

Love these midliners! Great colors and so smooth!

  19. Rated 5 out of 5

These are really smooth, and are excellent for dot journals and DIY journals. I bought a set for my sister in law and the swatches are beautiful. I went back to buy some for myself and they were gone, I couldn’t even find a Mylar for them 🙁

I love these! I originally requested my parents to get the fluorescent pack (It was the only pack at our local Walmart.) My friend realized how much I loved them and how I used them all the time in my sketchbook to color my drawings, and bought me the 15 pack for my birthday! I highly recommend.

these highlighters are best used on smooth/semi-glossy papers like rhodia & clairefontaine. they’re amazing on typical textbook paper too! no bleed, doesn’t use too much ink. I love the shades and colors. Not too pale and not too dark.

the only problem is when you use bad paper, like copy paper and super absorbent paper that’s prone to bleeding and feathering.

i love them! used them for years! i love soft grey! and blue green and the cool color pack! i usually get mine from jetpens, tokyopenshop, or kinokuniya!

i wish they were refillable with replaceable tips and ink sort of like copic markers, I noticed i could unscrew it but i can’t refill it with anything suitable,..

These pens are super popular so I thought I would give them a try, but I wish I read the comments first. Half of the colors are simply too dark to ever serve a purpose while studying. They look so light and vibrant, but once you highlight anything with it, it’s so difficult to actually read your notes.

I absolutely love the fluorescent colors, and in hindsight I wish I had bought a few sets of the single pack of fluorescent markers instead (they are so great my first set ran out already!). The other colors are all really nice as well, and I if you are using these markers to draw throughout your notes and don’t mind dark colors, I would highly recommend giving these pens a try.

Overall I do like the quality of the pens and the double sided feature, but I wish I hadn’t spent so much on all the extra colors that weren’t necessary for my use while studying.

I think these highlighters are really nice. I use them in my bullet journal as I’m sure most other users do too. They are nice tones and I appreciate the double tips and that one of the tips is a chisel tip because I mostly use tombow brush pens and while I love them, I can’t deny that having access to a chisel tip is very nice for making lines that I plan to write over. It just looks cleaner and nicer. My only issue with these pens is that the colors on top are way misleading, I bought these thinking they’d be pastel colors but definitely are not (besides maybe the light yellow and the light blue and light pink). The rest of the colors are definitely not pastel, although they do live up to the ‘mild’ness implied in the title. They aren’t too super opaque so they work great if you’re gonna write over it. Please note they do bleed through the paper a bit.
Also to everyone complaining about the gray, I’m very very happy they included a gray because I like to shade in the backgrounds of a lot of my pages with a light gray or other light colors, and I also use gray for making separation lines and such that I don’t want to make so harsh with a fine liner. So thank you. Zebra, for giving us a gray, I promise you have at least one customer who appreciates it. 😛
Overall these markers are really nice and worth the money in my opinion, but I’m also a marker hoarder so take that with a grain of salt. Worth a shot if you, too, are a marker hoarder.

I love these highlighters. one down slide is that they don’t have the best smooth application. it will be lighter is some parts and if you apply too much pressure on another it will look weird and bleed through. other than that they are tremendous.

I believe these pens are badly named. Seriously. Look at the yellow. Even if you believe there are infinite realities, there are NONE where that is considered “mild”. The only thing mild is it’s performace. Actually, it’s downright trash. You better pray to the heavens that your carefully written notes are in pen, because 2/3 of all the colors are so dark they may as well be sharpie markers. I’ve heard some people say “But look at it’s unique double sided design!” I have something amazing for you! It’s called a uni propus. It’s cheaper and more effective. Some people say they have more colors. That’s true. The whole point of highlighters is to brighten your paper. The obvious color to choose it GRAY?! You thought of special colors and you chose the only one that would never stand out? What about mild red? Yeah, it’s as mild as Dwayne Johnson’s singing. I believe a red magic marker is less opaque than this horror. Overall, the only ones worth buying are the soft colors if you’re a Saudi Arabian billionare who can afford to spend $10 for 5 highlighters.
