Hello, there. For those who do not know me, my name is Zen. In case you haven’t heard, I am the spokes animal for Zebra Pen. In honor of my upcoming birthday, I would like to share some of my Zen wisdom with you. Settle in as I share my secrets, triumphs, and invaluable insights to help you find your Zen in your own life.

How did my journey with Zebra Pen begin, you ask? I will start from the beginning. My life began as any Grevy’s Zebra does. I grew up in the grasslands, dining on flowering grasses, wild legumes and other greenery under the guidance of my mother, Asana. As a colt, I enjoyed frolicking around the grass and exploring, celebrating the beautiful planet we all share. As I grew up, I discovered the infinite magic of knowledge and writing, and my life has never been the same. One of my favorite memories is the day I picked up my first pen. I held it, and felt as if I had the whole world in my hooves. I began relishing the writing experience, using every opportunity to express myself through the written word.

Nothing changes a life more than education, as knowledge is our greatest gift. My infinite wisdom began reaching the masses. I was discovered by Zebra Pen while working on my poetry manifesto, Serengeti Sonnets: Musings of a Striped Scholar. Zebra Pen was seeking a spokes animal to represent their carefully crafted writing instruments, and I was seeking a platform to share my findings with the world. It was a match made in heaven. Now, Zebra Pen’s mission has become my own. My objective is to help guide you on the path to Enlightened Writing. Remember, in order to finish, one must begin.

To find the path to Enlightened Writing, one must begin with the perfect instrument. That’s where I come in. Let me be your guide as you discover the right tools for each and every project. Today, I enjoy expressing myself through various activities that bring me joy and inner peace, including yoga, writing short stories, bullet journaling, hand lettering, illustrating and more.

Relaxation is a job I take very seriously, because when you are relaxed, you are free. Mindfulness is at the core of everything I do. They don’t call me Zen for nothing. Zen is something much bigger than myself, as it is a way of life. Zen is a mindset, a lifestyle, and an ideology that is so simple, it’s difficult for one to comprehend or explain. Ultimately, zen is different for each person, but to put it simply, zen is the feeling of freedom and relaxation in the things that make you, well, you.

To find zen in writing, stress not, and let your ideas flow and become one with the paper. Allow yourself to become immersed in your writing process, free of distractions and the organized chaos of everyday life.

I will leave you with this: Always remember to never change your stripes, for they are what make you special.
