Zebra Announces Leadership Change

Toronto, CN (June 17, 2016) Change is an eventual reality despite our desires to maintain normalcy and consistency.

For the past 18 years, Bo Broderick has been the face of Zebra Pen Canada; however, after a long, successful career Bo will be retiring as of June 1, 2016. Bo is to be succeeded by Clem Restaino, the current president of Zebra U.S.

Bo and Clem have shared a long history with Zebra Pen. Bo’s career began with Zebra as a manufacturer’s representative helping to introduce and grow Zebra’s brand in the Canadian market. In 1998, Bo was hired as Zebra’s National Sales Manager before being appointed president in June, 2004.

“It’s been a long and fruitful relationship. I have developed many relationships along the way and have thoroughly enjoyed the journey,” said Bo. “But as is the case for everyone there comes a time when even the good things must come to an end, and my time is now.”

Clem Restaino, who, too, began his career as a sales manager before becoming US president 31 years ago will seek to build upon Bo’s successes and further the companies plan to grow their business in Canada. For Clem the announcement is bittersweet.

“I hired Bo some 20 years ago as our rep when we entered the Canadian market and have had a strong relationship throughout our careers. It is hard to see a friend and colleague, whom I have known for so long, say goodbye,” said Clem. “But, he has left a solid foundation upon which to build. We wish him well and thank him for his many years of service.”

In addition to the announcement of Bo’s retirement and Clem’s appointment, Zebra is also proud to announce the promotion of Callum Broderick to the position of Director of Operations

Zebra’s Executive Officer & Director, Akihiko Tanigawa, who oversees U.S., Mexican, South American, Canadian and European operations, was happy to make this announcement and proud of the efforts and support of these two leaders over the past 30 years. He is confident that the existing business foundation in Canada aligned with the strategies of the U.S. market will further enhance Zebra’s global market position moving forward.
