The DAVEY Awards Find Zen!

Zebra’s New Packaging Wins a Prestigious Gold for its Design

EDISON, NJ – Zebra Pen USA is proud to announce its acceptance of a gold DAVEY Award for its new and improved packaging design.

The award, named after “David” of “David and Goliath”, is administered internationally by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts, a platform that allows smaller agencies to showcase their work in competitive space where giants of the field often garner the lion’s share of attention.

The Zebra design won gold in the “promotional – packaging” category, and was one of several distinctive brands who won for 2016. The winning packaging was created in partnership with Brandfirst, a design firm from Hackettstown, NJ, with an extensive record in package design success.

“Over the last few years, our brand has taken on a whole new look.  Across all platforms, we’re driving a clean and uniform new approach.  By working with great companies, we’re able to achieve big things,” said Ken Newman, Director of Marketing at Zebra Pen Corp.

According to the Daveys website, judging is completed by members if AIVA, which includes “executives from organizations such as Condé Nast, Disney, GE, Keller Crescent, Microsoft, Monster.com, MTV, Push., Publicis, Sesame Workshops, The Marketing Store, Worktank and Yahoo! and many more.”

“We are flattered to be a gold recipient of this prestigious award.  It further validates that strategically we are moving in the right direction with our brand. Additionally, partnering with small companies has helped us to develop a much more personal approach to our brand and our overall marketing.  It’s always a great honor to have outside sources, especially from this industry-elite grouping, what we’ve created together and been able to accomplish,” he added.

Brandfirst accepted the award and presented a matching trophy to Zebra Pen’s management team earlier this month.
