EDISON, NJ, September 7, 2022 - Zebra Pen Corp., a global leader in the writing instrument space, is celebrating its 40th anniversary for Zebra Pen in the United States. Zebra Pen has grown from a small pen manufacturing company to an internationally recognized authority in writing instruments.
Its parent company, Zebra Co. Ltd. was founded in Tokyo, Japan, in 1897 by Mr. Tokumatsu Ishikawa to manufacture traditional brush pens used in writing Japanese characters. The company has remained true to its roots but has expanded its offering into a wide array of writing instruments serving the needs of both the traditional and creative writing consumer.
Recognizing the size and potential of the U.S. market, Zebra decided to establish an independent entity based in New Jersey charged with the establishment and growth of the Zebra brand. In 1982, a then small team of dedicated individuals embarked on a journey to carry Zebra’s long and humble history of innovation and commitment to quality within the U.S.

To celebrate this milestone anniversary of 40 years, Zebra Pen U.S. will be running a campaign during the months of September and October. Leveraging innovations in QR Code and Augmented Reality technology via social media consumers will have a chance to Find Their Zen with Zebra Pen at an Arizona Spa along with additional chances to win secondary prizes, which included a limited edition 40th Anniversary Zebra Sharbo Gold Plated Pen.
