By: Andrea of @wildeyesbujo Hey everyone! Andrea here from @wildeyesbujo and today I'm going to show you how to set up a gratitude journal. Given the current state of the world and the uncertainty that we are all feeling, a gratitude journal is a great and easy way to increase positivity and reduce stress. For this journal, I’ll show you how to track daily, weekly, and monthly gratitude reflection.

Step 1: Gather your materials

Step 2: Sketch your design in pencil

Using the Zensations Drafix Technical Pencil, sketch out the design on a two-page spread in your journal. I always start in pencil because I’m able to see the design and then make changes if needed. The Drafix Technical Pencil is perfect for this step because of it features a lightweight design and comfortable grip. With the help of a ruler, I drew spaces for each day of the week to write down a note or two describing what I’m grateful for. The empty space will be filled with some floral and greenery designs but any design you’d like will work too. Finally, I added space for a weekly gratitude review at the end of the week. Step 3: Add floral design (or whatever design you’d like!)

Use the Mildliner Double Ended Brush Pens to add your design. In the empty space, I drew my flower designs freehand but you can also sketch it out in pencil first. I absolutely love using Mildliner Double Ended Brush Pens because the brush tip works like an artist’s brush and can be used for coloring or hand lettering. Lastly, use the Zensations Technical Pen in 0.4 to add detailing to your designs. Gratitude bullet journal

Step 4: Outline in pen

For the tiles, use the Zensations Brush Pen in Super Fine. This pen is great for lettering because it writes smooth and is easy to control. If you don't know how to hand letter, they're great for regular writing too! For the rest of the spread, use the Zensations Technical Pen in 0.5 to outline the boxes and fill in the days of the week. This pen is a staple for my journaling because it comes in a variety of sizes and is bleed-free and waterproof. Monthly gratitude journal

Monthly Gratitude Log

To set up a monthly gratitude log, repeat steps 2 and 3. Then use the Mildliner Double Ended Brush Pen to add highlights throughout your spread. This pen is perfect for this last step because of its mild and translucent color. I love the simplicity of these setups because it makes it easy to record gratitude. I hope that I've inspired you to create your own gratitude journal! For more bullet journaling inspiration, check out Shannon Hakala’s tutorial, 3 Ways to Use a Bullet Journal to Stay Active.
